Center
for consolidation of Democracy(CCD) was established in 1993,
following the democratic changes in 1990.It was conceptualized
and initiated by the veteran democratic leaders Ganesh Man
Singh, Krishna Prasad Bhattarai and Girija Prasad Koirala
who were concerned with consolisating the achievements of
the democratic politics of the country with ideas and innovations. |
CCD
is a non profit , non-governmental service oriented institution
registerd at the distict Administration of Lalitpur’ Nepal.
It is commited to the values of democracy. CCD believes
in creating a system of politics that is pluralistic,holistic
and life enhancing. It works for promoting the ideals of
individual freedom , plurality ,equality ,democratic ‘ socialism
, social justice , human dignity , inclusion , and empowerment
of individual while building and strengthening community.
It is non- hierarchical and participatory in its institutional
structures and process. The Executive committee of CCD is
elected every two years by its General and Life Members. |
