The country is passing through a volatile transitional phase
following the elections of a Constituent Assembly, termination
of 240 years old monarchy and declaring it a republican
state. It is struggling to meet the national commitment
to build a democratic and inclusive federal state. This
context provides opportunities and challenges for CCD. It
is expected to make serious contribution in shaping this
epochal change. It has to reorient its activities and expand
nationwide. It has to work closely with other organizations
and professionals, who share common ideals and methods.
CCD intends to play central role in bringing together organizations
and knowledges in this critical juncture of state building.
Its committed members and wider support enables it to successfully
play its immediate and longer term role.
